PADI Open Water Referral

The Open Water Referral programme offers a calm, skill-focused way to learn scuba diving without pressure. You’ll complete all required pool training and theory in a controlled environment, giving you the time and space to understand the equipment, build confidence, and decide if you want to continue.


Course structure

Practical Information
Minimum age: 10 years
Duration: Flexible, typically 2–3 days
Prerequisites: Basic swimming ability & medical clearance
Open Water Dives: Not included in this programme
Certification: Issued after completion of open water dives
Knowledge Development: Complete the full PADI Open Water eLearning at your own pace.
Confined Water (Pool) Training: Learn and practice all required Open Water skills in the pool, focusing on comfort, control, and confidence.
Decision Point: After completing the pool training, you can choose to:
Continue with your open water dives locally
Finish your certification at a destination of your choice
Pause with no obligation, all completed training remains valid
