To enrol on the PADI Open Water Diver course you must:

Be at least 10 years old

Be comfortable in the water

Completed the Medical questionnaire (and physician approval if required)

Complete the PADI eLearning before practical training

THEORY

OPEN WATER

Complete your PADI eLearning at your own pace before the practical sessions. You'll learn how scuba equipment works, diving physics and physiology, dive planning and the principles of safe diving.

Practice the essential scuba skills in calm, controlled conditions until you feel comfortable and confident underwater. You'll learn buoyancy, mask clearing, regulator recovery, emergency procedures and underwater communication.

Put your new skills into practice during four open water dives while exploring Cape Town's incredible underwater world. Under the guidance of your instructor, you'll build the confidence and experience to dive safely anywhere in the world after certification.
