What you'll learn

The PADI Advanced Open Water Diver course introduces you to new types of diving while helping you build confidence through real diving experience. Under the guidance of your instructor, you'll complete five Adventure Dives, including Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation, while choosing three additional dives based on your interests.

To enrol on the PADI Open Water Diver course you must:

Be at least 12 years old

Hold a PADI Open Water Diver (or equivalent)

Completed the Medical questionnaire (and physician approval if required)

Complete the PADI eLearning before practical training

Some Adventure Dives include short knowledge reviews completed through PADI eLearning before your dives. These provide the background knowledge needed to safely plan and enjoy each new diving experience.

Every Advanced Open Water Diver course includes two core Adventure Dives: Deep Diving and Underwater Navigation. These dives develop essential skills while introducing you to greater depths, improved underwater awareness and increased confidence in a variety of diving conditions.

Personalise your course by choosing three additional Adventure Dives based on your interests and local conditions. Whether you want to perfect your buoyancy, explore wrecks or experience diving with enriched air, your course can be tailored to help you become a more versatile and confident diver.
