Snorkeling / Intro into Freediving
R1500.00
Explore Cape Town’s kelp forests from the surface and below on a guided snorkeling experience with an introduction to freediving.
We’ll introduce you to relaxed breathing, equalisation and duck diving before heading into the water to explore the kelp forest at your own pace. No previous freediving or scuba experience is required.
This isn’t a freediving course or certification, just a relaxed introduction to breath-hold diving and a different way to experience Cape Town’s underwater world.
We’ll start at our local dive centre in Simon’s Town, where we’ll get you fitted with all the equipment you need and run through the plan for the day.
From there, we’ll head to the best snorkelling site based on the conditions. Before entering the water, we’ll cover safety, relaxed breathing, equalisation and basic duck-diving technique.
We’ll then spend around 60–90 minutes in the water, exploring the kelp forest and giving you the opportunity to practise your new skills at your own pace.
Afterwards, we’ll have some snacks and water before heading back.
